For years I've felt closer to my grandparents on my mom's side than my grandma on my dad's side. This could have to do with being geographically closer to mom's side or any other number of factors/excuses. Ultimately though, I think it all comes down to a lack of effort on my part to include dad's mom in my life or be a part of hers.
For probably the last few years, I've toyed with the idea of writing regular letters to her. It's one of those nice ideas that I never really got around to until now. When I left to spend a year in Merida, Venezuela with Campus Crusade for Christ, it seemed a natural starting point to start writing. I found a service on usps.com that allows me to upload and send my own pictures as actual postcards. This site is dedicated to posting those images and notes that I've sent her, essentially forming the chronicles of adventures and details of my everyday life as a STINTer.
